Ashlee is a Research Analyst at the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining. She has experience in impact assessment, program evaluation, gender analysis, development of social impact management plans, agreement-making, and has also reviewed various social evaluation frameworks that are used to assess the development outcomes of mining projects and their associated investments.

Since joining CSRM, Ashlee has worked on projects for clients such as the International Council of Mining and Metals, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australian aid) and Ok Tedi Mining Limited. In 2013, Ashlee spent four months in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia where she worked in a monitoring and evaluation role for the World Bank-funded Mining Sector Institutional Strengthening Technical Assistance Project (MSISTAP) (AusAID supported volunteer). At MSISTAP, her work primarily focused on monitoring MSISTAP’s projects, and evaluating the program’s effectiveness and impact on policy and the organisational capacity of the beneficiary government departments.

Prior to joining CSRM, Ashlee worked in the international development sector on health and mining projects in the Pacific and in Asia, including undertaking Health Impact Assessments for a major resource extraction project in the Philippines.

Ashlee holds a Masters of Social Science (International, Urban and Environmental Management) from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (Honours) from the University of Queensland.
