Bernadetta is a Research Manager at CSRM and works on research projects focused on mineral infrastructure, understanding partnership and collaboration for community development, and evaluating impacts and outcomes of social investments in extractive sector to promote sustainable development in mining.

Before joining the CSRM, Bernadetta worked as a policy officer for the Department of Local Government and Planning (formerly Department of Infrastructure and Planning), Queensland Government. She was involved in providing assistance for infrastructure policy, planning and legislation in Queensland.

Prior to moving to Brisbane in 2009, Bernadetta worked for the regional development and planning office of North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, for more than 13 years where she was most recently the section head of environmental and natural resource management. Here Bernadetta was involved in several international donor funded projects (ADB, USAID and JICA) that aimed to promote sustainable development, institutional strengthening in natural resources management and community based natural resources management in Indonesia. Her involvement varied as a project officer, communication/counterpart officer and as a project manager.

Bernadetta holds a Bachelor of Fisheries and Marine Science from Sam Ratulangi University, Indonesia, a Master of Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University, Canberra and a Master of Arts in International Development Studies from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.
