Sharon Flynn

Sharon Flynn is a senior leader in social performance with expertise in creating shared social, economic and environmental value for business and society. She has experience in the extractive, construction, manufacturing, forestry and non-profit sectors in North America, Latin America, Asia and Africa. Sharon has led teams working in community, government and stakeholder engagement, land acquisition, integrated social and environmental management, and business development.

Dr Chris Anderson

Chris Anderson is the strategy leader and corporate functional lead for Communities in the Americas, with a particular focus on Indigenous communities. He also contributes to Indigenous communities work worldwide and provides advice and support to operations on Rio Tinto standards on Communities practice, in particular contributing to the Group’s Community agreement-making innovation and implementation.

Pam Bourke

Pam has 30 years of experience working in community development, social policy and planning. Pam’s areas of expertise include community development and community engagement, affordable housing and homelessness, cultural diversity, social planning, community facilities development and management and organisational strategy and transformation.

Bruce Harvey

Bruce Harvey is Global Practice Leader – Communities and Social Performance for Rio Tinto. With many years’ field experience in different parts of the world, Bruce is in a unique position to reflect on community relations and development practice in mining.

Anthony Kelly

Anthony (Tony) was senior lecturer in Community Work at The University of Queensland for over 20 years and has worked as a consultant to government, corporations and NGO’s in ways of working with communities. He has also worked with Oxfam Australia on training programmes in Indigenous Australia and overseas.
