Teck has commissioned CSRM to work in collaboration with Pam Bourke Consulting to finalise the development of their Social Management and Responsibility Toolkit (SMART). SMART is a set of practical tools providing guidance to site-level communities staff to meet Teck’s internal EHSC management standard and apply global best practice in the area of social management. Utilising its experience in developing industry good practice guides and practitioner materials, a team of senior CSRM researchers worked with Teck to draft a set of practical and user-friendly tools on topics such as community investment, local hire and procurement, monitoring and evaluation, mine closure, gender, vulnerable groups and Indigenous Peoples.
